I offer virtual therapy for people and family members of people who are having trouble with hopelessness related to chronic pain, illness, or chronic mental illness. I also work with people who need help evaluating substance use, other problematic behaviors, or mental health symptoms.
With years of experience and specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I provide objective, professional support as a trusted confidant. My practice is rooted in a client-centered, collaborative approach, and I tailor my interventions to each individual, prioritizing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship to support personal growth and healing.
I am a licensed independent psychotherapist (LCSW-C) in the State of Maryland, with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland. For the past 15 years, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals living with chronic pain, mental health challenges, and addiction issues. Before opening my private practice, I spent seven years working in residential crisis services, gaining extensive experience in acute care and crisis intervention. My practice is grounded in compassion, expertise, and a commitment to helping clients navigate complex life challenges so they can feel better.
I am dedicated to providing a therapeutic, inclusive atmosphere where each client is given the respect and dignity they deserve. I am committed to fighting against discrimination and I advocate for the needs of my clients.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside, in nature. I do a lot of hiking, mountain biking and camping. I love sunsets. I value time with family and friends. I like to play games of all sorts. I especially like poker and chess.
